Meet Our Pastor

A Message From Him

Let me take the time to thank you for visiting our website, I think that it is very important that you know about us here at Faith Missionary Baptist Church. On January 10th, 2024, I was called as Pastor and humbly accepted the calling of God to serve as pastor of the great congregation. I’m excited about what God is doing through me and in my life. I am married to my beautiful wife Sonja Parson of 7 years, and we are the parents of six children (Chris, Micheal, LaDarrius, LaVarius, Jonathan, and Jordan). I was born to two beautiful parents Charles & Jacqueline Parson who displayed strong faith in God and active participants in many church ministries. I witnessed their devotion to the Lord and the study of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

I gave my life to Christ and was baptized at the age of 10 years old under the pastoral leadership of Rev. McKinize Clark at New Hope Baptist Church. In 1997, I accepted the call to the ministry and began serving at my home church Bethel Baptist as associate minister and in various capacities co- director for the youth ministry assisting in worship services, visitation of sick and shut in teaching discipleship classes youth and adult Sunday school classes vacation bible school and coached youth basketball. I am convinced that God has given me the desire and gifts to serve Him.

It is my hope and desire that as pastor of Faith Missionary Baptist Church of Bessemer, that as we share the word of God with His people that Christ be exalted, and you experience His perfect peace. I believe that the word of God will change a man’s life regardless of how low or high he/she may be. God’s love is able to reach us no matter how far you feel from Him. Whether you visit us in person or online I pray you feel His presence in the mist and that we point you to our Risen Savior Jesus Christ. It is my desire that you give your life to Him by confession of your sins, repentance and trust in Him as the only true living God.

May God bless you and keep you is my prayer, Amen.
